2019 Goals in Review

Have not blogged in a while, man the second half of 2019 was intense.  I finally am getting around to looking at 2019 in whole.  I achieved 8/12 of what I outlined at the start of the year.  I will take it.

Here are some of the highlights:

Witness something that takes my breath away—Easily 08/19/2019, watching Sawyer Rayne being born and seconds after she took her first breath, her grabbing onto my finger and holding my hand.   Heart skipped a beat and I gasped for air.   A moment that was so precious it had to be the best of 2019.

Create something that brings joy to other—this was easy as I get to work for an incredible company building experiences that resonate with families all around.  I was particularly proud of 2019 at all locations with some of the incredible shows, experiences, and events we put on.  What I really learned was that the family I work with are incredible.   It is completely a euphoric high to work with the best of the best.

Write a children’s book—I did it…..I am currently looking for the right illustrator but I wrote a children’s book about the Greek word ‘Philotimo’.   During this process I discovered that writing a children’s book is difficult, but the topic really pushes the passion.  For those that don’t know, the Greek work Philotimo is a word with unparallel meaning.   My book shows kids that if you strive to live by Philotimo, you will be honored with a good life.
