I was asked the other day, why did you start blogging. I started this year with goals, unknowing what course life would take us. I knew I wanted to finally write a children’s book. I kept saying this for the last two years…..”I am going to write a children’s book” the year ends and I had nothing to show for it.
My thought was I always put this on the back burner because I was afraid. I don’t know why and it is uncharacteristically of me to worry about fears. But like anyone, practicing your craft is a must. The blog was born.
The fact that we announced baby #3 during the same time I started this was cool and it gives plenty of content to think and write about. That is why the blog was born.
A children’s book. I always had a notion of writing something to help teach kids to be kind as they grow, an anti-bully, no judgement book. Having kids has opened my eyes to the fact that there is a need for more kindness in our world and if we can somehow start teaching our kids this, future generations will not be so agitated on people’s differences. It’s a long shot but if only a few people read something like this and it changes how they act. Then the job would be complete.
Why did you start blogging?
