So, every year we love decorating our home for the holiday and spending that quality time with each other. Around the tree, around the table, and just being together.
2018 was special. My Aunt came into town to visit with us, we found out that baby #3 was coming on Christmas morning (yes we kept that a secret for six weeks), and we granted some pretty amazing Christmas wishes for our kids. One was special.
Kennedy asked for a piano for the past two years. It seemed unrealistic and I shrugged it off. She asked Santa, told everyone that’s what she wanted, and left me thinking…..”come on”. Fast forward to right before Thanksgiving, I was dropping the kids off at school and we were talking about Christmas. I asked Kennedy what she wanted Santa to bring her, she replied “a piano.” Maddox immediately said that was unlikely. Kennedy responded “well he surprised me last year with my Barbie Dreamhouse, he might do it again.” I was 90% sold at this point. Later that night the below Facebook ad was served to me.
As you can imagine, I am a sucker for ads like this. The deal was sold. I ordered a nice keyboard piano for Kennedy to get started learning.
Christmas morning her face was priceless. She couldn’t believe it happened. We are going to start lesson soon and I can only hope her joy in this will be the ‘gift’ she remembers for her lifetime. Christmas is special, unlock the imagine for someone.
